Hayley heads our Media, Entertainment and Digital practice and advises on all forms of media and entertainment including sports. She supports clients with rights acquisition and distribution, sponsorships, advertising and marketing, partnership and collaboration agreements.

Hayley herself has spent time in industry on secondment at Sky (now part of the Comcast Group) , acted as quasi-in house counsel at FilmFlex Movies for a number of years and undertook mini secondments at OSN in Dubai. Hayley is ranked as a Next Generation Partner for Media and Entertainment (Film and TV; computer games; digital media; advertising) and Leading Individual for TMT by Legal 500 UK 2024, and described as a "One of a Kind" partner.

  • Sky on the renewal of its strategic partnership with BT across the UK and Republic of Ireland in relation to the distribution of BT Sport via Sky platforms and the distribution of NOW on BT TV, and the subsequent amendment and expansion of such arrangements to encompass both BT Sport and Eurosport content in light of the premium sports joint venture created between BT Group and Warner Bros. Discovery in 2022
  • Kick It Out, a sports-focused anti-discrimination and inclusivity charity, on the negotiation of a partnership agreement with Unanimous Games, an eSports and entertainment company, to operate and market the virtual 'Who Wants It FIFA 21' eSports tournament on a potential multi-year basis
  • The legal panel for Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy advising in preparation of Qatar World Cup 2022 including in respect of sports leagues and sponsorship arrangements
  • a lottery operator on its agreement with a sports data analytics company for the development of lottery software
  • European broadcaster Sky on a number of its acquisitions and investments including acquisition of Sky Italia and Sky Deutschland which involved understanding a range of sports broadcasting deals
  • BAT on its partnership agreement and technology collaboration agreement with McLaren Racing Limited and McLaren Applied Technologies Limited, in order to leverage McLaren's technological experience to support BAT's 'Transforming Tobacco' agenda and development of 'potentially reduced risk products‘
  • a gambling company on its acquisition of a company specialising in sports spread betting
  • Tabcorp on its white label partnership with News UK to launch an online wagering and gaming business in the UK and Irish markets, to be known as "Sun Bets", in 2016, and ongoing advice related to this operation
  • Perform Sports on advice related to its OTT sports products
  • Broadcaster on its potential investment into North One Sports
  • Rotana Media Group on numerous matters including strategic assessments of its business units, joint ventures, advice relating to commercial agreements and rights acquisitions including in relation to sports and the regulation of football in differing European countries
  • Pulse Entertainment on arrangements associated with the use of virtual human likeness in live events and the complexities associated with this area (including music, live events, associated games and IP)
  • Kambi, a B2B provider of sports betting services to licensed B2C gaming operators, on regulatory advice in relation to its partnership deals including entering new geographical markets
  • Somerset House, the UK entertainment venue, on its commercial agreements including ticketing arrangements, arrangements with sponsors and, in particular, agreements in respect of the Valentino: Master of Couture exhibition held at Somerset House
  • Anschutz Sports Holding on arrangements (including sponsorship and venue hire) relating to entertainment district and stadium space "The O2" in London, including corporate hospitality arrangements, food and beverage facilities, naming rights and the development of commercial facilities in and around the arena
  • Premiership Rugby in relation to various structuring and commercial arrangements
  • FIA in relation to commercial agreements relating to the advertising of Team Super Aguri and Toyota for Formula One
