Our team has practical hands-on experience, from taking board positions at clubs and federations, through to handling the largest British football club insolvency to date.  In 2023/24, A&M has:

• Assisted a Premier League football club with a player conduct investigation;
• Assisted a Championship football club by hosting data for disclosure to the EFL as part of Profitability and Sustainability enquiries;
• Provided forensic accounting services (quantification of lost profits and quantification of wasted expenditure) and eDiscovery services in relation to a dispute between a racing driver and his team;
• Performed an assessment of sustainability strategies, ethics policies and governance at elite sports teams as part of a long-term partnership with the Global Sustainability Benchmark in Sport;
• Advised sports stars, including a Ballon d’Or winning footballer, on the tax consequences of various career moves including geographical relocation; and
• Advised on the creation of a new Brazilian football league (Liga Forte Futebol), supported in the capital raise process and currently supporting in the ongoing management of the project.
