The Sports team in London consists of a collection of forensic accountants, investigators, and technology experts. We identify, analyse, and quantify losses arising in the sports industry on behalf of corporates and their representatives. We provide comprehensive forensic accounting, corporate finance, fraud investigation, expert witness, and forensic technology services, going beyond the numbers to deliver financial transparency in legal and insurance claims. Our professional’s experience includes:

• Undertaking an advisory review of a Premier League football club’s compliance with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules in the FY20 and FY21 seasons and prepare a counterfactual assessment, but-for the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
• Producing a Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) 35 compliant report commenting on the losses claimed by an English Football League club for their COVID-19 business interruption losses between March 2020 and 31 May 2021.
• Acting as accounting expert/co-arbitrator in the matter of The English Football League v Derby County Football Club [2020] & [2021].
• Acting as an accountant specialist member to the standing Appeal Panel of the UEFA Licensing Appeals Board for the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2023/24 seasons.
• Providing services to various Major League Baseball clubs in the context of salary arbitration proceedings pursuant to Article VI of the MLB Basic Agreement. Services provided in this context include the construction and analysis of player offers considering market conditions and salary cap restrictions, club negotiation support, and presentation of salary arbitration cases to arbitrator panels as necessary.
