Hickman & Rose's head of Serious and General Crime, Jenny Wiltshire, represents clients facing the gravest and most complex criminal charges. She is widely recognised as an industry leader in this practice area and has enjoyed remarkably long run of success acting for both individuals and corporations.

Clients come to Jenny because her deep knowledge of the criminal justice system means she is often able to achieve positive results before the charge stage. She he often consulted by well-known clients seeking a swift and discrete resolution to what, if made public, would be highly damaging allegations.

The past year saw Jenny win the complete acquittal of her client, footballer Benjamin Mendy on ten charges of rape and sexual assault. Jenny has also taken on the cases of two other, equally high-profile footballers facing similar allegations.

Jenny has a long history of success in so-called “baby shaking” cases. She this year took on another, potentially ground-breaking case in this area. She is also involved in another potentially ground-breaking matter in which the police is seeking to argue that the reckless transmission of chlamydia constitutes GBH.

The key to Jenny's success is her ability to unravel ferociously complex medical and forensic evidence. She also benefits from an ability to listen and get the best out of her clients. Her case organisation skills and her attention to detail often unearths disclosure that is case breaking.

Jenny is a founding member of Women in Criminal Law and a member of the ECBA.
