Richard Salvini

Richard has over 20 years’ experience acting for individual coaches, national governing bodies and associations, sports clubs and their insurers.  Richard regularly advises, consults with clients and provides support training programmes across the sports sector on the following matters:

• Vicarious liability of organisations, following sports related accidents, including dual liability and the implications of recent case law
• Advising on player-on-player incidents
• Liability of an organisation where a non-delegable duty of care is owed
• Sensitive claims, including safeguarding and abuse claims
• DPA and GDPR issues
• Venue and stadia safety
• Fatal accident and inquests
• Advise in respect of Regulation 28 Prevention of Future Death Reports
• Crisis Management and Risk Management support

Richard regularly deals with “crisis” and “reputational” issues involving individuals or corporate bodies who face a range of regulatory or legal sanctions including adverse publicity. Richard also advises on proactive and preventative risk management including policy advise for sporting bodies.
