Luke Steadman

Managing Director

Luke Steadman is a Managing Director in A&M’s Disputes and Investigations practice in London, specialising in accounting expert evidence for High Court litigation and international arbitration. He has more than 25 years’ experience as forensic accounting expert witness in the UK.  Mr Steadman has worked on a number of sports-related disputes and investigations, including performing investigations into potential sponsors and drivers on behalf of Formula 1 motor racing teams.

Mr Steadman is recognised as a leading expert in high court matters where his evidence includes considerations of quantum and damage; valuation of assets and businesses; the accounting treatment of complex transactions under International, US and UK Accounting Standards and Principles; and the application of International Auditing Standards.

In international arbitration, he has acted as both party-appointed and tribunal-appointed expert and provided both solo and concurrent oral evidence in hearings under ICC, LCIA, Hong Kong, Dubai and other Arbitration Rules. He has also appeared in local Courts in Jersey, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Singapore.

Mr Steadman has degrees from Durham University and in law from the University of London. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and a member of the International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
