Richard Fleming

Managing Director

Richard Fleming is a Managing Director with A&M’s Restructuring practice in London, leading A&M’s Restructuring practice in Europe.  Mr Fleming brings 35 years of restructuring experience across a wide range of industries, including sport. He has played an integral role in high-profile stressed, distressed and insolvency cases in the public and private arenas, in various industries including football clubs, financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing, property, construction and oil and gas.

Mr Fleming acted as Administrator of Leeds United F.C., overseeing the rescue of the club via a Company Voluntary Agreement, and advised the Senior Lenders to Portsmouth F.C.  He additionally led the restructuring of JJB Sports Plc, Blacks Leisure Plc and Fitness First.

Currently, he is the Administrator of NMC Health Plc in the U.K., an operator of c200 private hospitals in the UAE and a global IVF business, and of 36 subsidiaries in the UAE pursuant to the Abu Dhabi Global Market. He is currently the Administrator of the holding companies of Four Seasons Healthcare Group, a large care home group in the U.K. He is also the liquidator of Joannou & Paraskevvaides (Overseas) Limited, a $2 billion turnover construction group operating across the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr Fleming led KPMG’s U.K. restructuring practice and the U.K. firm’s entire advisory offering, serving on its U.K. and global advisory boards.
