Saksham Samarth

Saksham Samarth is an Associate at Vandellos Sports Law in Valencia, Spain. He primarily works in Sports Dispute Resolution preparing legal submissions before international sport adjudicating authorities, drafting employment contracts, representation agreements and transfer agreements. He regularly advises on regulatory, commercial and contractual issues in football.

He recently completed his Masters in Sports Management and Legal Skills offered by the Instituto Superior De Derecho Y Economia (ISDE Barcelona, 2020-21). Saksham has over three years of post-qualification experience litigating commercial and taxation matters before the Supreme Court, High Courts and lower courts in India.

Siddharth Gosain

Siddharth Gosain is an international sports lawyer at Muñoz y Arias Sports Lawyers, Valencia, Spain. He advises and represents clients on regulatory, employment, commercial, and disciplinary matters. He has also appeared before several international dispute resolution bodies such as the FIFA Football Tribunal and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Siddharth holds a master's degree in International Sports Law from Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE Madrid) and possesses prior experience in civil & commercial litigation, and sports matters from his time at Dua Associates and the IPL team, Punjab Kings.

Suzanne Crespo

Suzanne is a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner and represents sports national governing bodies and international federations in domestic and international arbitration and in internal grievance proceedings, including in the areas of athlete protection, “opportunity to compete” and selection challenges, compliance claims, doping cases, and a wide array of other disputes within the Olympic and Paralympic Movement and sports more broadly. Since she joined the firm, she has represented over twenty sports organizations in over ninety of these types of disputes.

Suzanne is well known for her work designing and implementing athlete protection policies on behalf of both professional and amateur sports organizations. In addition, she regularly advises sports clients on the development, implementation, and enforcement of bylaws, selection procedures, and other organizational rules, policies, and procedures. Suzanne has also played a key role in obtaining recognition and sanctioning for new and emerging sports, and maintaining the good standing of existing sports in the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.

As part of her sports practice, Suzanne regularly advises clients on nonprofit formation, governance, board disputes, and other issues unique to nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Suzanne served as a judicial clerk for Judges Richard Gabriel and Russell Carparelli on the Colorado Court of Appeals. She is a former course record holder in the Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb Ascent (2015) and was the 2012 Professional Women’s New York State Road Race champion in cycling.

Zachary Calo

Professor Zachary Calo is Professor of Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar. He is also a Visiting Professor of Law at The Open University (UK), Professor of Law (Adj.) at the University Notre Dame Australia - Sydney, Visiting Professor of Sports Law at Tashkent State University of Law (Uzbekistan), Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University in Qatar, and Lecturer in Sports Law at the Qatar Olympic Academy. He serves on international dispute resolution panels with Sport Resolutions UK and the Qatar Sports Arbitration Tribunal. 

He formerly practiced banking law at a financial service, criminal and civil enforcement defense law firm in Washington DC, United States.
