Rupert is a barrister practising from 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square in London and Kings Chambers in Birmingham and Manchester.

Rupert has a wide-ranging practice that encompasses regulatory and professional discipline, commercial litigation, public law, international arbitration, media and IP. He has a particular interest and experience in sports related law and has represented individual athletes, clubs, governing bodies, agents and officials across numerous sports in matters involving anti-doping, discipline, selection, corruption, funding, sponsorship, governance, equality and discrimination and commercial disputes.

Rupert writes extensively on the law and sport and is co-author of "Sports Law" by Beloff, Kerr, Demetriou and Beloff, the Halsbury Centenary Essay "The Field of Play" and the Sports Law volumes of Halsbury’s Laws of England and Atkin’s Court forms. In addition, he has written numerous articles on a variety of subjects, including gender verification and anti-doping, which have been published by LawInSport and others.

Prior to qualifying as a barrister Rupert worked in sports media dealing with broadcasting rights.
