Stefan Kruse

Stefan’s practice covers a wide swath of the corporate and commercial legal landscape.

He advises on a range of corporate and transactional matters including asset and share purchases and sales, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, corporate structuring and reorganization, shareholders’ agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, franchising, real estate transactions and commercial leasing, trademarks and other intellectual property matters. He serves a variety of small to medium-sized private companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs, in a variety of sectors including those in gaming, IT, regulated industries and emerging markets such as cannabis.

Stefan is also versed in preparing wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, trusts and other personal planning documents, probate and estate administration, and advises on business succession matters.

A small business co-owner with his wife, Stefan brings his own entrepreneurial experience to bear in serving other local start-ups and small businesses, and works to be the practical, approachable and innovative lawyer he’d want for himself. He holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Arts from Simon Fraser University and Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Alberta (both in philosophy).
