Jan has been full-time Seni­or Gen­er­al Coun­sel in the Leg­al and Com­pli­ance de­part­ment at VfB Stut­tgart since 2014. There, he is com­pre­hens­ively re­spons­ible for all leg­al is­sues from all areas of the club's activ­it­ies, in­clud­ing trans­fers, com­pli­ance, data pro­tec­tion and in­vestor re­la­tions. He has also been a judge at the Court of Ar­bit­ra­tion for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne since 2014, where he is primar­ily ap­poin­ted in soc­cer-re­lated cases.
