TO THE MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS OF FIFA

Circular no. 1851

Zurich,

New FIFA/Football Unites the World flags

Dear Sir or Madam,

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ was widely heralded as the best-ever edition of the tournament, at which football reinforced its unique cohesive power by uniting the world in a spirit of peace and friendship. The message, introduced by the FIFA President before the final competition, was clear: “Football Unites the World”. With the kick-off of the greatest-ever edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ now upon us, FIFA will continue to pursue this spirit and message through the Football Unites the World campaign in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand in 2023.

It remains our objective that this message continues to touch the lives of many, impacting society and promoting our sport as a force for good in the world into the future.

Football Unites the World is a global movement to inspire, unite and develop through football. It brings people together, all over the world, to celebrate the beautiful game. It represents the commitment of those who live football – be they players, coaches, fans, partners or administrators – to shape our communities, our lives and our society.

To ensure that the FIFA brand and its marks for Football Unites the World are displayed consistently around the world, FIFA is pleased to provide each member association with the opportunity to amplify this message in their country.

Each member association is therefore being provided with the following:

  • 1 FIFA flag, landscape size S (1.5 x 1.0m)
  • 1 FIFA flag, landscape size M (2.25 x 1.5m)
  • 2 FIFA flags, landscape size L (3.0 x 2.0m) 2
  • 1 Football Unites the World flag, landscape size M (2.25 x 1.5m)
  • 1 Football Unites the World flag, landscape size L (3.0 x 2.0m)

If you require additional flags or have any questions about replacing your existing flags, please get in touch with Stefano Di Palma, Leader Protocol & Etiquette, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We would also be grateful if, in addition to the flags, only FIFA or Football Unites the World marks are used for any printed/digital material from now on as they relate to FIFA branding. Other messages that pre-date Football Unites the World are considered obsolete. In this respect, the FIFA administration will provide other FIFA and Football Unites the World assets to the member associations in due course.

Yours faithfully,

FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
