Powerlifting Athlete Suspended for Presence of SARM S-22

The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Alexandra Stodalka, a powerlifting athlete, received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected during out-of-competition doping control on April 21, 2018, revealed the presence of SARM S-22, a prohibited anabolic agent.

In response to the CCES’s notification of the adverse analytical finding, Ms. Stodalka waived her right to a hearing and accepted the proposed sanction, which terminates on July 11, 2022. The athlete, who resides in Calgary, Alberta, is ineligible to participate in any capacity with any sport signatory to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP), including training with teammates, during the sanction period.

Une athlète de dynamophilie suspendue pour la présence de SARM S-22

Le Centre canadien pour l’éthique dans le sport (CCES) a annoncé aujourd’hui qu’Alexandra Stodalka, une athlète de dynamophilie, s’est vu imposer une suspension de quatre ans pour une violation des règles antidopage. Cette violation a été découverte par l’analyse d’un échantillon d’urine recueilli durant un contrôle antidopage hors compétition réalisé le 21 avril 2018, qui a révélé la présence de SARM S-22, un agent anabolisant interdit.

En réponse à la notification par le CCES concernant ce résultat d’analyse anormal, Mme Stodalka a renoncé à son droit d’audience et a accepté la suspension qui prend fin le 11 juillet 2022. Durant cette période, il est interdit à cette athlète, qui réside à Calgary en Alberta, de participer, à quelque titre que ce soit à un sport signataire du Programme canadien antidopage (PCA), y compris de s’entraîner avec ses coéquipiers.
