Seizing the opportunity: Genius Sports at the Brazilian iGaming Summit

With the Brazilian government poised to sign the Ministry of Finance’s Provisional Measure that lays out the Brazilian government’s sports betting regulation, this week’s Brazilian iGaming Summit promises to attract huge demand. With over 5,000 attendees expected to attend, I’m looking forward to catching up with friends, partners and sportsbooks who are all competing for market share in this rapidly expanding market.

The Brazilian market has become a key focus for Genius Sports after we recently hosted a landmark sports integrity summit in Brasilia last month. This event brought together leading representatives from Brazilian sports, government, law enforcement, gambling industry and the legal profession to debate how regulation can help to combat the wave of match-fixing scandals that continue to threaten Brazilian sports.

Now, our attention turns to the iGaming Summit and helping sportsbooks build a market-leading, localised product.

Bespoke odds and risk management

Launching or scaling a sportsbook in a new market like Brazil can be challenging. You need to build your brand, acquire players and run a profitable trading function. You must do all of this while ensuring your product appeals to local bettors, with a comprehensive set of market-types and odds on Brazilian leagues.

For the majority of operators at Brazil iGaming Summit, this will require an outsourced trading partner. So what do you need to look for when selecting your supplier?

On Stand D22, we’ll be showcasing Genius Trading Services, our bespoke odds and risk management solution, including over 300,000 annual fixtures. GTS is the most efficient way to grow a sportsbook in Brazil. It’s more flexible than any other managed trading solution and already helps operators like Betsul to scale and increase profits.

Uniquely, Genius Sports also provides a full range of Brazilian content, including official data and odds for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Copa do Brasil, Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB), Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) and Liga Nacional de Futsal. This is alongside global competitions including the English Premier League, NFL, LigaMX, German Bundesliga and hundreds other.

Brazil has long been described as the sleeping giant of the global sports betting industry. With regulation imminent and the iGaming Summit taking centre stage, the giant is now well and truly awake.
