Teams for the Semi-Final of the 2022 Sports Law Arbitration Moot (SLAM) announced

After weeks of preparations, 70+ teams from 20 countries, rounds of written submissions, and online quarter-finals and judging from 30 Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Arbitrators and 40+ expert sports law advocates, we can now announce the semi-finalists of the Sports Law Arbitration Moot (SLAM) 2022.

SLAM is a unique initiative with competing in a world-class moot competition that promotes greater knowledge of the values and rules of international sports arbitration, a key dispute resolution mechanism in the no-matter where students are from.

Following online training session on writing legal submission and oral advocacy training provided free of charge for teams, by leading advocates and arbitrators, 40 teams were evaluated on their written submissions dealing with the moot problem (an anti-doping case) by 30 Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Arbitrators and 40+ expert sports law advocates.

8* teams qualified for the SLAM Quarter Finals that were held virtually on 26 & 27 March 2022 and judged by 12 CAS Arbitrators. The teams were:

After impressive performances in a hard fought and closely contested Quarter-Finals we can announce the 4 teams that have progressed to the Semi-Finals. We would like to congratulate all the teams on their impressive and closely contested performances.
